Much of the hype surrounding Raw recently has been the growing tension between the three members of the Shield, in particular Dean Ambrose.
The group also consisting of Universal Champion Roman Reigns and IC Champion Seth Rollins have been at war with Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre in recent weeks, resulting in a couple of six-man tag team matches.
The Shield picked up a pretty smooth win at Super Show-Down, but things weren’t quite so cheery last week on Raw, as they lost out to the ‘Dogs of War.’ This led Dean Ambrose to storming backstage, seemingly walking out on his Shield “brothers.”
Things heated up even more on the latest Raw, with Rollins effectively costing Ambrose his World Cup qualifier against Dolph Ziggler. Seth has already defeated Drew McIntyre in his qualifier earlier in the night.

The fun didn’t stop there though. Ambrose and Rollins’ bickering eventually led to Baron Corbin making a six-man tag rematch for the main event of the show.
Now, while the Shield tension had been brewing, that of their opposing team had been going somewhat under the radar.
It’s been pretty clear for a few weeks now that Dolph Ziggler is being portrayed as the weak link of the operation, with Braun Strowman the leader, and Drew McIntyre in a really awkward situation somewhere between the two.
Despite a hiccup during the match, the Shield did manage to pick up the win, and this left Braun not a very happy chappy. He screamed in Ziggler’s face for getting pinned, before delivering a Running Powerslam to the ‘Showoff.’

McIntyre though, who had been bickering with Strowman throughout the match’s duration, responded to Braun’s stamp of authority by striking him with a Claymore Kick, and ending the show standing tall.
We now have a very interesting situation whereby it seems like Drew and Dolph may end up combining against the force of Strowman. But then again, there’s also been friction between the Raw Tag Team Champions to bear in mind. So many factors at play here.
One thing’s for certain, this angle is keeping me very, very intrigued, and that is important. Let’s just hope it doesn’t end with Dr. Shelby getting involved or something.
