The Miz has responded to false rumors going around on social media regarding his current status and future with WWE.
After last weekend saw the WWE exits of R-Truth, Carlito and Sarah Logan/Valhalla announced, another name that some social media users brought up was The Miz.
Some users made false and incorrect claims that Miz had removed WWE from his social media bios and/or had unfollowed WWE on certain platforms.
The Miz has taken to Instagram to comment on the situation. He said:
“Since I’m talking on here I feel like I need to address some things because I keep getting texts from friends asking me ‘is the news on social media real?’ My thing is, everyone get off of social media and don’t listen to any of it. Because it’s all false. Everything I’ve seen about me is false.
“I didn’t want to address this, I thought it would just go away, I didn’t want to draw attention to it, because if I said something then it might draw more attention and I just didn’t want that. But it just keeps going.
“So I will say it like it is. As far as X, Instagram and TikTok and my profiles, I’ve never changed any of them recently. The last time I changed my Twitter profile was probably five years ago. It still says ‘Twitter’ on it, it doesn’t say ‘X’. So I haven’t changed that in like five years. I haven’t unfollowed WWE at all.
“WWE and I are in very good standings. We just dropped ‘Miz Golf’, which is part of WWE’s YouTube.
“And then as far as WWE is concerned, tonight, is the most important pay-per-view of the year in my opinion because it’s Money in the Bank, and that gives one man and one woman an opportunity at a title shot that they might not get. I’m not sure if I didn’t win Money in the Bank, if I didn’t cash-in, I would have ever been WWE Champion. And not to mention go on to main event WrestleMania and retain the WWE Championship.
“I know I say that a lot, but it’s significant in my career and it all started with Money in the Bank. And one man and one woman is going to be able to capture that Money in the Bank contract and have that opportunity.
“And man, you get to play a lot of games with that Money in the Bank contract, especially for whoever’s champion at the time, because they never know when it’s coming, and it’s full of surprises.
“So definitely watch Money in the Bank tonight on Peacock. I’ll be on a flight but I’ll be rooting for all the Superstars out there. And yeah, I guess that’s it. I’m off to American Gladiators. And it’s gonna be… awesome.”
