On Sunday at the WWE TLC pay-per-view event, The Miz cashed in his Money in the Bank contract, inserting himself in the TLC WWE Championship match between Drew McIntyre and AJ Styles.
Drew McIntyre managed to retain the WWE Championship over Miz and AJ Styles, meaning we’ve had yet another unsuccessful Money in the Bank cash-in, the third for the men in the last four years.
The decision was actually met pretty well by fans, with very few people seemingly being behind the idea of The Miz becoming WWE Champion in 2020 or even 2021, over ten years after his first reign began.
However, it seems like WWE could be angling to give The Miz the Money in the Bank briefcase once again, especially if his promo on last night’s episode of Monday Night Raw is anything to go by.
During the show, Miz stated that it was actually Morrison who handed the referee the briefcase and cashed it in, which is actually true. Some have speculated that The Miz could be given back the briefcase as the cash-in wasn’t legitimate.
However, there have been no reports indicating that this is something WWE is considering doing, and fans are just speculating off the back of the promo that Miz cut on Raw last night.
