The New Day Recall Rejected WWE WrestleMania Pitch

The New Day Recall Rejected WWE WrestleMania Pitch WWE

The New Day have recalled a rejected pitch regarding their entrance for WWE WrestleMania 32.

With WWE celebrating the tenth anniversary of The New Day, Big E, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston reunited for a new video uploaded to YouTube.

The video, which can be seen below, sees the 10-time WWE Tag Team Champions reflect on some of their greatest moments over the last decade, one of those being the group’s famous cereal box entrance at WrestleMania 32 in Dallas, TX.

Woods, Kingston and Big E appeared from a giant box of Booty O’s cereal, all while dressed up like characters from Dragon Ball Z.

While this was elaborate enough to go down as one of their best ever entrances, the group originally had an even crazier plan.

Big E recalled:

“Coming out like a Trojan horse, well as a giant unicorn, this man (Woods) wanted the unicorn to have a butt flap, and we would be pooped out of the unicorn for our entrance on tricycles.”

Woods then revealed Triple H’s reaction to the pitch, who suggested the Booty O’s entrance in response:

“We brought that to H and he goes: ‘Great idea, but what if you just come out of a box of Booty O’s.”

The group then immediately agreed that The Game’s idea was far better, leading to the entrance we saw play out over eight years ago.

As New Day approach their tenth anniversary celebration on Monday’s Raw (December 2), Woods and Kingston’s relationship seems to be hanging by a thread, with the pair having a heated confrontation on this past week’s show (November 25).
