The Rock Wins Award During WWE TV Absence WWE

The Rock won an award at the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, amid his on-screen absence from WWE TV.

The TKO board member was nominated for three awards at the ceremony,

Favorite Movie Actor for his role as Callum Drift in Red One, Favorite Male Animated Voice for playing Maui in Moana 2, and Favorite Song From A Movie for ‘Can I Get A Chee-Hoo?’, Moana 2.

Dwayne Johnson ultimately won “Favorite Male Animated Voice.” This award was voted on by Nickelodeon viewers online.

The Rock reprised the role of Maui for Moana 2 after the character’s introduction in the 2016 Moana movie.

He is slated to star as Maui in the Moana live action remake, which is slated for a 2026 release.

The Rock’s name will likely be in awards conversations in early 2026, with the former WWE Champion transforming himself for the role of Mark Kerr in The Smashing Machine, which will hit theaters this November.

While The Rock does sit on the board of directors for WWE parent company TKO, there has been a lot of speculation about his on-screen role as the Final Boss.

The Rock has been absent from WWE TV since Elimination Chamber in March, where he was involved in John Cena’s now-iconic heel turn segment.

John Cena recently got the wrestling world talking by paying homage to CM Punk’s 2011 “pipe-bomb” in the closing moments of the June 20 SmackDown episode.
