As Roman Reigns continues on his iconic Universal Championship reign, fans continue to speculate about the direction for Reigns heading into WrestleMania 39 next year.
The most speculated match, other than a clash with Cody Rhodes, is Reigns taking on his cousin Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson in a family-sized dream match, should WWE be able to secure The Rock for the dates. He is a busy man I hear.
The story of Reigns acting as the head of the table taking on The Rock has been the dream story ever since the Bloodline faction first began, and despite not being on WWE TV in a while, The Rock is keeping an eye on his cousins.
Speaking to Chris Van Vliet, The Rock acknowledged his Tribal Chief, talking about the great job that the Bloodline have done in WWE, especially after the unexpected change of regime back in July.
He said:
“Of course I do. That’s my family. I think those guys are doing a great job, and I think what an interesting shift the company has gone through this year. Unexpected in many ways, but when unexpectations happen in that kind of way, form, and fashion, especially in that business, you’ve got to have the ability and the agility to pivot, which they have. With Roman, I think he’s doing a pretty good job, and the boys, too, The Usos.”
The Rock has not wrestled for WWE since his loss to John Cena at WrestleMania 29, excluding his six second victory over Erick Rowan at WrestleMania 32.
