The Rock’s Daughter WWE TV Debut Match Announced

The Rock’s Daughter WWE TV Debut Match Announced Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic

The WWE NXT TV debut match for Simone Johnson, the daughter of ‘The Rock’ Dwayne Johnson, has been announced.

Simone, simply known in WWE by the name Ava (previously Ava Raine), will be in a six-person tag team match on the Tuesday, June 6 episode of NXT.

Ava will be teaming with fellow members of Schism group Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler to take on Ivy Nile and the Creed brothers Brutus and Julius, collectively known as Diamond Mine.

Ava has wrestled before on a ‘premium live event’ that streamed on Peacock/WWE Network – Stand & Deliver in April – but this will be her first match on an actual episode of NXT TV on USA.

That previous match was also a multi-person tag match, when she teamed with the rest of Schism (the aforementioned Reid and Fowler as well as Joe Gacy) against the Chase University team of Andre Chase, Duke Hudson, Tyler Bate and Thea Hail.

Also set for the June 6 episode of NXT is a battle royal to determine the first challenger for NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton – which neither Ava nor Nile were advertised to be a part of – as well as Eddy Thorpe vs Damon Kemp.

There will also be some follow ups on several surprises from the previous episode of NXT, which saw appearances from Mustafa Ali, Blair Davenport and Baron Corbin, the latter of whom looks set to challenge Carmelo Hayes for the NXT Championship.
