The Rock Provides Update On WWE WrestleMania 41 Status WWE

The Rock has provided something of an update on his status for WWE WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas next April.

Rock made a return to WWE at Bad Blood last weekend, and the expectation had long been that he would have another match at WrestleMania 41 after his in-ring comeback at WrestleMania 40.

However, off the back of Bad Blood, Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Rock is “not scheduled” for Mania 41 right now.

Meltzer wrote that he was told by a source: “He’s not going to be able to do Mania. He already gave word that he wouldn’t be able to do that match”.

The Rock himself has now publicly responded to queries about that report.

He was asked in an Instagram comment “Are you really not working Mania 41??? Say it ain’t so!”

Rock replied:

“don’t believe any of that bulls**t 😉👊”

Prior to the report of him not being scheduled, Meltzer had reported the original plan being Rock vs Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41, either for the Undisputed WWE Championship or Rock’s People’s Championship.

However, with how the Bad Blood return transpired, some believed that could have been a setup for a three-way match between Rock, Rhodes and Roman Reigns.

We’ll continue to keep you posted with any updates.
