The Road to WrestleMania starts at WWE Royal Rumble and a new report has suggested that the January 28 2023 event could feature The Rock!
The annual event often features surprise appearances from WWE stars new and old and the event taking place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas isn’t expected to change that trend.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said:
“This Royal Rumble, there’s so many different things that they can do at this Royal Rumble to build up to WrestleMania.
“Obviously everyone would expect Cody, there’s always the chance of Dwayne, others that can be thrown in there.”

At the very least, that means The Rock isn’t ruled out as of right now…
With the recent news that the 2023 Royal Rumble has already broken a huge WWE record having “surpassed the $5m mark” at the box office, anticipation is high for the first Royal Rumble to be booked under Triple H’s tenure.
There can be no doubt that in the same way that WrestleMania 39’s planning has a reportedly ‘all hands on deck’ approach to ensure its success in a post-Vince McMahon WWE, Royal Rumble will be getting similar treatment.
WrestleTalk has even speculated on surprise entrants for the Royal Rumble.
