The Rock Says ‘There’s Nothing’ Regarding WWE Return

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson returning to WWE would be a very big deal. However, it appears he is trying to throw water on that fire, saying there is nothing to tease for a potential return.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight alongside Jungle Cruise co-star Emily Blunt, The Rock was asked if there was anything to tease for a WWE return. He and Blunt then joked that they could be a tag team. They said:

Johnson: “There’s nothing.”

Blunt: “It’s gonna be me and him.”

Johnson: “Yeah, it’s gonna be a tag team.”

Blunt: “Gonna be me and him, and there’s gonna be a big fight.”

It has been reported recently that The Rock will make his WWE return at this year’s Survivor Series. This will reportedly be to begin a program with Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

The Rock has not wrestled for WWE since WrestleMania 32 where he beat Erick Rowan in seconds. If you don’t count that, his last proper match was with John Cena at WrestleMania 29 in 2013.
