The Rock Would Be ‘Honoured’ To Lose To Top WWE Star At WrestleMania

The Rock has expressed his interest in facing a top WWE star at WrestleMania in a match that has been rumoured for the event next year.

On his YouTube channel, Rock said it would be an “honour” to face his cousin Roman Reigns at the biggest event of the year.

Speaking with Hiram Garcia, Rock said:

Rock: “You and I have talked about this and it’s so funny how a lot of people always say, ‘well if you ever go back to WrestleMania, who would be the opponent that you would face?’ It feels like the one that would make sense would be Roman, in terms of box office draw.”

Garcia: “That would be huge! The family, the story, but what it always comes down to is, who goes over? Who’s winning that one when you bring those two titans into the ring? Where’s the finish on that?”

Rock: “Well I’ll tell you this right now. I know how that works. I’m not going down that road. Because I know how that conversation goes… ‘Listen, here’s what we’re thinking. Roman beats you now at this WrestleMania, but, listen, before you guys say anything, then on the next one, that’s when…”

Garcia: “Let me just start with this. Middle of the ring, 1, 2, 3, real quick on the first one. But then on the next one…”

Rock: “Listen, real quick, 1, 2, 3, boom, real fast. But you know what, the truth is, I would be honoured not only to share the ring with Roman and to go back to WWE, but of course I would be honoured to have him raise his hand on that one.”

As it stands, WrestleMania 37 is still scheduled for the SoFi stadium in Inglewood, California, and is being dubbed “WrestleMania Hollywood”.
