The Rock made his return at WWE Bad Blood on October 5, 2024, and it now looks like he could be returning again in early 2025.
Speaking about his return on the recent WWE PLE, The Rock said he will “always go back” and that it was “not only to make appearances but help to expand the company.”
With WWE Raw moving to Netflix in January 2025, The Rock is reportedly part of those plans.
Per WrestleVotes on Backstage Pass Q&A it was reported that The Rock is scheduled to appear on the January 6 premiere of WWE Raw on Netflix.
WrestleVotes also stated that “WWE is expected to load up the show with big names and matches for the premiere episode.”
The Intuit Dome in Los Angeles show has seen Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, and John Cena being advertised to appear.
WrestleVotes reported that Shawn Michaels, currently overseeing WWE NXT, is potentially also making an appearance on the January 6 episode of WWE Raw, stating:
“Well, I don’t know, are you counting Rock as a surprise? Are you counting John Cena as a surprise? They’ll both be there. I wouldn’t be surprised if Steve Austin showed up.
“I heard Shawn Michaels may make an appearance. Anybody that they have under a Legends deal and is healthy enough to be in Los Angeles, I would expect to be there.”
It was also recently reported that CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins is slated to take place on the first episode of WWE Raw on Netflix.
The recent media event between WWE and Netflix saw Becky Lynch in attendance, with Liv Morgan having a less-than-favorable reaction on social media.
