The Rock Addresses Current WWE Role WWE

The Rock has addressed his role in WWE and TKO, following his return to the ring at WrestleMania 40 and recent appearance at Bad Blood.

It was confirmed at the beginning of the year that The Rock was joining the board of directors of the WWE and UFC’s public merger company TKO Group Holdings.

After some controversy about plans for the WrestleMania 40 main event, The Rock returned to the ring on the first night of WrestleMania, teaming with Roman Reigns to defeat Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.

Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Rock noted that he had a “great time” at WrestleMania 40, noting:

“I had such a great time. Cody and Seth and Roman, it was just wild. I grew up in that world of pro wrestling. There’s nothing like when that music hits and the crowd goes crazy.

When Fallon noted that it feels like The Rock is home when he’s performing, The Rock noted:

“That’s a good way to put it. I grew up in the world of pro wrestling, and I followed the careers of my grandfather and my dad. My grandfather and my dad used to wrestle up here at (Madison Square Garden) in the ‘70s, and here I come along, not trying to screw anything up with their legacy.

“Then all of a sudden, the business has grown into what it’s grown into. TKO now owns WWE, and I have the honor of sitting on the board of TKO. What a full-circle moment. It’s crazy. I started with seven bucks, and now… now it’s not seven bucks (laughs).”

The Final Boss notably made a return in the closing moments of Bad Blood, staring down Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes and Jimmy Uso.

The Rock recently addressed claims that he pees in bottles on movie sets, which you can read more about right here.
