The Rock Says Current Champion Would Be Great In WWE WWE

Dwayne The Rock Johnson has named a current UFC champion that he feels would be a great fit as a WWE star.

With WWE and UFC both being owned by TKO Group Holdings, Johnson sits on the board of directors of the parent company.

During a recent interview on Kiss Xtra, Tom Aspinall, the UFC Heavyweight Champion, spoke about the possibility of a WWE match.

Aspinall would name some “old school” stars he was a fan of, highlighting The Rock as a dream opponent when asked who he’d like to face.

The Rock has now addressed the suggestion in a new Kiss Xtra interview, offering a response in both his WWE character and on a personal level, saying:

“There’s one answer, as The Rock, which is like ‘I’ll Rock Bottom his candy ass’, but then there’s the other answer, which is, I love Tom, I’ve got a lot of respect for him.

“I think he’d be a great WWE performer. He’s the kind of guy who’s just disciplined and committed, and he’s a fan.

“Tom would be fun, that’d be great. I’d take him… take him to lunch.”
