Fascinating answer from Twitter users this evening when the WWE on Fox account queried fans and the response got The Shield trending.
With over 10k tweets about The Shield, the trio made up of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and at the time, Dean Ambrose (now known as Jon Moxley in All Elite Wrestling) is a fascinating answer amongst many other choices fans could have gone with.
In a universe where fans could have selected classics like NWO or DX through modern classics like The New Day or even The Bloodline it was an interesting choice for Twitter users.
While a swerve choice could have easily been from NXT 2.0 with Legado Del Fantasma and Tony D’Angelo and his unnamed goombahs remained available options as yet to be trending.
While Roman Reigns has gone on to be in the Bloodline faction along with The Usos, Jimmy and Jey, and their special counsel, Paul Heyman while the former Ambrose has also now become associated with a new stable.
Appearing on AEW, Jon Moxley is a part of the Blackpool Combat Club with Bryan Danielson and Wheeler Yuta along with a special counsel of sorts of their own in William Regal.
