The Ultimate WWE SummerSlam Prizefight!

Following on from their Extreme Rules Steel Cage Match, Braun Strowman and Kevin Owens will battle at SummerSlam over the former’s Money in the Bank briefcase.

The feud which began properly at the aforementioned event when the ‘Monster Among Men’ pitched the ‘Prizefighter’ from the summit of a ladder, will roll into WWE’s ‘Biggest Party of the Summer’ as the Canadian looks to take Braun’s guaranteed WWE Universal Championship shot for weeks upon weeks of torment.

The man who is fast becoming the company’s next Mick Foley – in that he puts his body on the line in ridiculous stunts – has had his car crushed, been pushed off of the Raw stage in a portable toilet, and Chokeslammed from the top of a cage through the announcer’s table. Most of these exploits have been condemned by fans as WWE papering overbooking cracks with short-lived highlights.

For those hoping this will be the beginning of a major push for Owens, the excitement should be reserved. His ‘fluke’ victory at Extreme Rules was designed purely so Strowman could go over here and hopefully retire this storyline. Both men deserve better, and for his work rate and sacrifice, Kevin Owens deserves a long and glorious reign at the top of the mountain.
