The Undertaker has shared a message for Octagon Jr after his injury at the WWE AAA Noche De Los Grandes event.
Octagon Jr was part of a five-way match that aired on night two of Noche De Los Grandes on June 6, that was taped on May 30 before night one aired live.
During the match, Octagon suffered a neck injury taking an avalanche DDT and ended up having to be stretchered out.
The match, which also featured Mini Vikingo, Lince Dorado, Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro, was won by Dorado, meaning he now gets a shot at Rey Fenix’s AAA World Cruiserweight Championship.
Fenix defeated Laredo Kid to win the title at Noche De Los Grandes week one, ending Laredo’s 539 day reign.
Following Octagon’s injury, The Undertaker, who is listed under his real name Mark Calaway as an executive producer of WWE AAA, has posted a message of support on social media.
He wrote:
I would like to take this time to wish a speedy recovery to Octagón Jr. and thank him for his hard work and dedication to @luchalibreaaa.
We know you’ll be back better than ever and we look forward to having you return to the locker room.
The Success So Far Of AAA Under WWE & The Undertaker
The Undertaker is very much presented as the public backstage face of WWE AAA at this stage, working alongside the likes of Jeremy Borash and other names like Konnan that were already present in AAA when WWE acquired it.
While it isn’t a one man show like WWE may want it presented, multiple AAA talents have already come out and spoken about how Taker has been a great boss for them thus far.
This sentiment has been shared by fans as well, who have praised AAA’s shows among the best content WWE has produced in quite some time.
