The Undertaker Reacts To Ricky Starks WWE NXT Debut, Addresses Their Relationship

The Undertaker has reacted to Ricky Starks making his WWE NXT debut tonight, and has commented on their relationship.

Former AEW star Ricky Starks appeared in the crowd during tonight’s February 11 NXT, saying that he’s on the brand to “turn this place upside down”.

On Busted Open Radio, The Undertaker reacted to Starks’ debut and explained how they’re no strangers to each other.

Taker explained how they first met back in 2015 when Taker was training for a match with Shane McMahon, and years later, Starks helped train Taker’s wife Michelle McCool for her return at the Royal Rumble.

Undertaker explained:

“So I’m training at this gym. I notice this kid is there every day. Doesn’t say anything, really respectful. As the training went along and we needed different spotters and different help, he was always right there.

“Finally we struck up a conversation, and he told me that he was trying to break into the business. I kinda talked to him about different things.

“And he actually, one of the Rumbles that Michelle was a surprise guest in, she wanted to get in the ring, and he came down and trained with her.

“I’ve seen him a few times here and there, and I’ve always had great conversations with him. He’s such a good kid, such a respectful kid.

“Yeah so that (debut) caught me completely off guard – I hadn’t seen him in probably a year, year-and-a-half maybe, and then I just looked up and saw him there.

“But yeah, that’s how we met. We met in a gym when I was getting ready for Shane at WrestleMania.”

Starks was let go by AEW just a couple of days before his WWE arrival, along with Miro and Malakai Black.
