WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker has named the only WWE match that could possibly coax him out of retirement.
At WWE WrestleMania 36, The Undertaker defeated AJ Styles in the cinematic Boneyard Match that headlined night one of the event. Since then, Taker has officially retired from in-ring competition despite appearing on various one-off spots.
At WWE Crown Jewel 2018, Taker teamed with Kane to face D-Generation X’s Triple H and Shawn Michaels in HBK’s first match since his apparent retirement at WrestleMania 26.
This bout is remembered for The Game tearing his pec and an overall poor performance from all involved.
On the latest edition of the Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker revealed that only another match against DX would coax him out of retirement. He said:
“You would think all the experience that was involved in that match that we could have done that in our sleep.”
“That may be the only match if we did it again that I would come out of retirement for. Just to see if we could top how bad it was the first time we did it,”
“A man lost his pec, man lost his pride, man lost his mask.”
Taker’s Brothers of Destruction tag team partner Kane stated that the match with DX was his dream match, but after their disastrous performance, he believes they should never do that match again.
It remains to be seen if The Undertaker will ever return to in-ring action at the time of this writing.
