WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker has named a WWE WrestleMania booking decision as the “greatest ever.”
At WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns to “finish his story” and win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the main event.
This followed Rhodes coming up short to Reigns at the year prior’s WrestleMania 39, something that was a highly controversial outcome at the time.
Speaking on the Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker named Cody Rhodes losing at WrestleMania 39 as the “greatest ever” booking decision due to how everything transpired at 40. He said:
“I mean Roman was well on his way before Cody even got there. I mean he already had a tremendous title run,”
“So I don’t know that it means as much without Roman. I mean, Roman’s top of the food chain…[It was] the greatest decision I think ever.”
Cody Rhodes last wrestled in a win over GUNTHER to become the first-ever Crown Jewel Champion at WWE Crown Jewel 2024.
While it remains to be seen what WWE have planned for Cody Rhodes at Survivor Series, we know that GUNTHER will defend his World Heavyweight Championship on the show against Damian Priest.
