After the shocking and emotional news from Raw the night prior, the Usos looked to send their own message to Roman Reigns during and after their tag team match yesterday on SmackDown Live, facing off against WWE Champion AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan for the second time in as many weeks.
With the Usos being the real life cousins of Roman, emotions were sure to run high during the fast paced match.
With things looking dire towards the match’s conclusion, a miscommunication between Styles and Bryan was the opening the brothers needed. When Styles missed a Pele kick and accidentally took Bryan out, Jey Uso managed to hit the ‘Phenomenal One’ with a Superkick.
With AJ down in the middle of the ring, Jimmy climbed to the top rope and, while hitting a splash to finish the contest, made the famous Roman Reigns fist pump gesture.
Post-match, the brothers were stopped in the back and asked if beating Styles and Bryan for the second week in a row proved that they were the best tag team in the WWE. They responded:
“It all comes down to this, hands down, you’re looking at the best tag team in the WWE. Scratch that, the best tag team in the world!
“Scratch that, you’re looking at the only true tag team right here in the WWE. We get knocked down 99 times, we’re going to stand up 100. Tonight, the big ‘W,’ that’s for the ‘Big Dog.’
“Imma holla at you at the barbecue, Uce.”
