The Young Bucks Shoot On “Killing The Business” With Y2J

Running a Clothing Line

Last year, The Young Bucks struck a huge deal with Hot Topic to distribute their merchandise in stores. After a successful test run where shirts were only sold in a fraction of locations, the company began selling Young Bucks merchandise – as well as items featuring the rest of Bullet Club – across the board. This came in the wake as The Bucks were about to start distributing merchandise independently under an “inauspiciously” tongue-in-cheek brand name.

“We’re incorporated with ‘Killing the Business,’ so we’re actually making that a clothing brand… so we’re trying to get that into Hot Topic next. If Young Bucks ever becomes ‘uncool,’ well, here’s a ‘Killing the Business’ shirt.”

Which Jericho brilliantly pointed out…

“Which, [mainstream] people don’t really know what it means, but it’s cool.”

Just the idea of “Killing the Business” could spark interest in the line from people who subscribe to a sort of “counter-culture” ideology. Taken out of a wrestling context, it gives off a ‘down with the machine’ vibe that seems to resonate with a lot of people.
