Thekla Comments On Non-AEW Appearance AEW

AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla has commented on a ‘super interesting’ project that will take her beyond the All Elite Wrestling ring.

Along with being a seasoned in-ring star, Thekla is an artist in her own right, with an upcoming exhibition of her work taking place later this month.

Speaking to SI’s The Takedown, Thekla addressed the upcoming exhibition and her involvement in a seminar at an art festival later this month, saying:

“This is going to be super interesting. I hope a lot of people are going to come out.

“It’s going to be athletes. It’s going to be artists, and it’s going to be a lot of talk about the rare point where art and sports meet.

“I’m super excited because it’s going to be an artist talk. I’m going to try to talk about what it’s like as an athlete to also be an artist … I’ve talked at university, I’ve done some pep talks type of stuff, but this type of talk is going to be interesting and new.

“It’s going to be a lot of different people talking about something that is rarely discussed.”

Pérez Art Museum Miami Presents Get in the Game: Sports, Art, Culture takes place between March 19 and September 13, with the GAME TIME program taking place on the first two days.
