Those Within WWE Deny Reports Of Vince McMahon Pushing Out Stephanie McMahon

A new report claims that those within WWE are denying reports of Vince McMahon pushing Stephanie McMahon out.

As previously noted, the Business Insider reported that a WWE insider indicated that Vince McMahon pushed Stephanie McMahon out of the company prior to her departure.

Per Fightful Select (subscription required), those that were involved with WWE prior to the Nick Khan regime were letting people know that wasn’t the case prior to the news being dropped of Vince being behind Stephanie’s departure.

However, some hires in the new regime were quick to say that there were performance issues and things to improve upon with Stephanie at the helm, but not along the lines that it was something to cause the end of her job.

Both regimes confirm that the decision was hers to leave.

They also clarified the report from Business Insider about WWE Head of Global Sales & Partnerships Claudine Lilien was “leaving WWE.”

Fightful confirmed she was let go and wasn’t looked upon as a great hire by McMahon.

There were plenty of areas of improvement in that department such as selling sponsors on a long term basis instead of a single show basis.
