WWE has confirmed three more entrants in John Cena’s ‘Last Time Is Now’ tournament to determine his final opponent.
A 16-man tournament will be kicking off soon, with the winner going on to face Cena in his last ever match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13.
We now know a total of seven of the 16 men who’ll be part of the match.
As announced during tonight’s WWE SmackDown, three more entrants are confirmed, with those being The Miz, Jey Uso and LA Knight.
Miz will face Uso in a tournament opening round match, while Knight’s opponent remains unannounced.
Upon seeing the name of Knight’s opponent, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis simply said, “I think I’ll keep this one a surprise.”
There were four names previously confirmed on this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, which were Rusev, Damian Priest, Shinsuke Nakamura and Sheamus.
As such, Rusev vs Priest, and Nakamura vs Sheamus, will be tournament opening round matches.
There remain nine more entrants in the tournament to be confirmed.
When the tournament was announced, it was stated that there would be names from NXT and even some from outside of WWE – so far, all seven confirmed names are from Raw or SmackDown.
We’ll continue to keep you posted with all the updates on the tournament and its field as they emerge.
