On tonight’s (August 3) edition of AEW Dynamite, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. and Jamie Hayter took on Thunder Rosa and Toni Storm, together dubbed ThunderStorm.
On the way to the ring however, Thunder Rosa debuted some cheeky new merch as she showed off a shirt proclaiming ‘Thunder Rosa – Sandbagging since 2014″ which appeared to boast an official AEW logo in the bottom right of the graphic.
Referencing the recent backstage drama whereby Thunder Rosa was accused of “sandbagging” and no-selling in a match with Marina Shafir that has morphed into an on-screen storyline with Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. continuing to mock Rosa regarding the sandbagging accusation.
The amusing merch isn’t yet available on AEWshop.com at time of writing so we’ll have to keep an eye out to see if it becomes official!
The match ended with Jamie Hayter picking up the pinfall victory on Toni Storm with Baker adding a little insult to injury with an extra boot to Rosa on the way out of the ring.
Elsewhere on the show, a stunning betrayal ahead of the Trios Championship Title tournament coming up for next month’s pay-per-view, AEW All Out.
