After her triumphant win of the AEW Women’s World Championship on last night’s (March 16) episode of AEW Dynamite, Thunder Rosa has a new announcement regarding another one of her hard-fought titles.
As announced on the Warrior Wrestling Twitter account, Rosa confirms that she will be in attendance at their upcoming event saying in the video:
“Dear Warrior Wrestling fans, family, friends, this is Thunder Rosa, and it’s been an honor to serve you as the Women’s champion here at Warrior Wrestling. From the bottom of my heart its really hard to tell you that unfortunately due to some really huge commitments that are coming in my career, I will no longer be able to serve you as your champion. I want to thank absolutely everyone from top to bottom in this organization for giving me the opportunity to represent women’s wrestling and the entire company. It’s been an honor as a wrestler to represent this championship and this company with honor and pride. So for the next person who will become the next women’s champion, I wish you the best and I hope you represent the company just as well or even better than I did. Thank you very much everyone and I love you very much.”
An accompanying tweet notes that Thunder Rosa will be on hand on April 23 at the promotion’s event to relinquish the title.
In a hard-fought and bloody battle, Thunder Rosa took on Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. for her AEW Women’s Championship in the first-ever women’s cage match on last night’s (March 16) episode of AEW Dynamite.
Baker was attempting to get the lockjaw in place when Rosa reversed and slammed Baker with a thunderous powerbomb in the center of the thumbtacks and followed up with a Thunder Driver in the thumbtacks to become the new AEW Women’s World Champion.
After the match, Dustin Rhodes joined Thunder Rosa in the ring for a hug as the show went off the air.
Huge News @thunderrosa22 will be in South Bend on 4/23 to offically relinquish the #warriorwrestling Women’s Championship.
