AAA
There was a title change during tonight’s AAA TripleMania XXXIII event, the first version of the show since the WWE acquisition.
The card is filled with WWE talent in almost every match, but the one match with no WWE presence was newsworthy as well.
The only match featuring no talent from WWE was the AAA Latin American Championship match with El Mesias defending against El Hijo De Dr Wagner Jr.
Wagner had his father, Dr Wagner Jr, in the front row, while El Mesias had Dorian Roldan at ringside.
With Roldan trying to get involved to help El Mesias, Dr Wagner Jr hopped the barricade to even the odds for his son.
Eventually, it was enough to assist El Hijo De Dr Wagner Jr in scoring the victory and picking up his first championship in AAA.
El Hijo De Dr Wagner Jr is the new AAA Latin American Champion.
El Mesias had held the title for 279 days after he won it from Octagon Jr at Guerra de Titanes.
Octagon was in the Copa Bardahl match tonight at AAA TripleMania, which was won by WWE star Omos and also played host to the return of Otis.
