A championship change took place to kick off tonight’s WWE Vengeance Day premium live event in Washington DC.
The show will feature four championship matches, including an NXT Women’s North American Championship match between Fallon Henley and Stephanie Vaquer.
The match was the opening match of tonight’s event, with Vaquer looking to capture her first championship since arriving in NXT back in October.
Despite the numbers being against her, Vaquer ended up picking up the win, capturing her first title in the company.
Stephanie also made history with her victory, with her now officially becoming the first-ever South American born wrestler to become a champion in the company.
Three more championship matches are set to take place on the show, including an NXT Women’s Championship four-way, with Giulia defending the championship against Bayley, Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade.
