A championship change took place on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite, with former WWE stars capturing their first titles in the company.
Since joining AEW back at the Grand Slam episode of Dynamite in September, MVP and the Hurt Syndicate have been making major waves in the company.
Bobby Lashley arrived in the company back at the Fright Night Dynamite show in October, officially joining the group alongside MVP and Shelton Benjamin.
Two weeks ago, Lashley and the Hurt Syndicate interrupted Private Party’s celebration, where he said that the Hurt Business were coming for the titles, before the three members of the Hurt Syndicate scored the win over Private Party and Mark Briscoe on last week’s Maximum Carnage episode of Dynamite.
Tonight, Lashley and Benjamin were victorious against Private Party in a championship match, Lashley pinning Zay to capture the AEW World Tag Team Championship for the Hurt Syndicate.
This victory marks Bobby Lashley’s first-ever tag team championship victory.
