There was a pretty big title change on tonight’s edition of WWE NXT. After months of feuding, Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell of The Way were able to win the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Former champions Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart had challenged The Way to tonight’s Street Fight. However, they came ill-prepared for the match as it was LeRae’s brass knuckles that took Shotzi out before LeRae hit a Wicked Stepsister on a chair for the win.

The Way are now the third team to hold the titles since their introduction.

Also on tonight’s WWE NXT, we got the announcement that next week Kushida will defend the NXT Cruiserweight Championship against the former champion Santos Escobar. You can read more about that here.
