A title change took place on tonight’s WWE NXT show in Houston, Texas ahead of the upcoming Stand & Deliver event.
Tonight’s episode of NXT took place outside of the WWE Performance Center, instead taking place in Houston, Texas.
The show features three women’s championship matches, including a WWE Speed Women’s Championship match between Fallon Henley and Wren Sinclair.
Wren Sinclair Captures WWE Women’s Speed Championship
Wren would knock off Nikkita Lyons and Thea Hail in the Women’s Speed Championship contender’s tournament to earn a shot at Fallon Henley’s title on tonight’s show.
In the match, Wren would end up submitting Fallon with the Final Wrench, winning the match and winning Wren her first championship of her WWE career.
Wren would also meet up backstage with former No Quarter Catch Crew member Charlie Dempsey earlier in the night after Dempsey turned on the NQCC to join Birthright last week.
Which NXT Stars Will Join The WWE Main Roster Next
There are a number of current NXT stars who could be on the list of names to potentially be called up to the WWE main roster.
In the men’s division, at different points over the last year, there have been reports that Ethan Page, Ricky Saints and Tony D’Angelo had all been at least discussed as new members for The Vision on Raw.
However, with NXT having recently lost Oba Femi, Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans on the men’s side, it would be a risk right now for WWE to call-up any of the remaining top names like Page, Saints and D’Angelo, as it would just further deplete NXT of its biggest stars.
Having said that, other than those three and Joe Hendry, there doesn’t seem to be anyone with that level of popularity now who could make the jump to Raw or SmackDown, unless WWE is willing to take a chance on a slightly lesser-known name like Myles Borne, Tavion Heights or Sean Legacy.
As for the NXT women’s division, there are plenty of names who are call-up candidates, including Jacy Jayne, Sol Ruca, Jaida Parker, Lola Vice and Kelani Jordan, who were all entrants in the Royal Rumble earlier this year.
Beyond those five, the likes of Blake Monroe, Fallon Henley, Karmen Petrovic, Tatum Paxley and Thea Hail are all popular enough and have been on TV long enough to be in the running.
The NXT women’s division is so strong that a whole host of names could be called up, and there are still newer faces like Kendal Grey, Lainey Reid and Izzi Dame who could fill the spots left behind.
