Title Change On WWE NXT After Controversial Finish

A title change took place to kick off tonight’s WWE NXT show, with the finish coming with a lot of controversy.

On last week’s NXT show, Blake Monroe issued an open challenge for her Women’s North American Championship to the entire locker room, which resulted in a brawl taking place on the ramp.

Blake was then jumped by Thea Hail, who made Blake submit to the Kimura Lock before the match could begin, leading to a title match on tonight’s episode of NXT.

The title match between Thea and Blake kicked off tonight’s episode of NXT, and it ended with the crowning of a new champion, albeit with some controversy surrounding the finish.

Thea would hit a springboard senton on Blake, pinning her to win the match, though it seemed as though Blake got her shoulder up before the three count.

After some confusion in the arena, including the start of Blake’s music playing after the match, the result was officially declared a victory for Thea, crowning her the brand new NXT Women’s North American Champion.
