There was a title change during tonight’s October 15 episode of WWE Evolve – a special edition of the show named Succession.
The show opened with an Evolve Championship match between champion Jackson Drake and challenger Bryce Donovan.
It was Drake who picked up the win to retain his title, but the second match saw a championship change hands.
Kendal Grey is the new WWE Evolve Women’s Champion, defeating Kali Armstrong in their match on tonight’s show.
Armstrong had been Evolve Women’s Champion since the May 28 episode of the show.
She became the first ever champion by defeating Grey, Wendy Choo and Kylie Rae in a four-way match.
Both Armstrong and Grey have appeared on WWE NXT as of late, most recently in this week’s NXT Women’s Championship #1 contender battle royal.
Grey actually made it to the final four of that battle royal before it was won by Tatum Paxley.
Grey, real name Peyton Prussin, was signed as a member of the third WWE NIL class and debuted in early 2024.
She was a three-time NAIA champion for Life University and a 2023 finalist for USA Wrestlin’s Women’s Wrestler of the Year.
