There has been a title change during tonight’s April 22 episode of WWE NXT on the CW Network in Las Vegas, Nevada.
At Stand & Deliver this past weekend, magicians Penn & Teller appeared in a backstage segment where they made Lexis King’s Heritage Cup trophy disappear.
Tonight on WWE NXT, they made the trophy reappear, on the agreement that King would defend it against a mystery opponent on tonight’s show.
Prior to his defense, Lexis King pitched a title vs title match against NXT North American Champion Ricky Saints for next week, which Saints accepted, as long as King retained tonight.
King’s mystery opponent ended up being a returning Noam Dar, who had been out for almost a year after suffering an injury in May 2024.
Dar returns with immediate success as he scored the win against Lexis King and is the new Heritage Cup Champion.
Dar is now officially a four-time Heritage Cup Champion.
We’ll keep you posted if there are any updates on what the title change means for the potential Saints vs King match for next week.
