There have been several title changes during tonight’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw on the USA Network, the go-home show for SummerSlam.
After RETRIBUTION wreaked havoc during the opening segment, the Hurt Business hit the ring, closely followed by Apollo Crews.
This set up a Shelton Benjamin vs Apollo Crews match, which was cut short when 24/7 Champion R-Truth ran out to the ring followed by Akira Tozawa and his ninjas.
Truth ran into a big boot from Benjamin on the outside, who pinned him to win the 24/7 Title.
This marks Benjamin’s second reign with the strap. He previously won it from Truth on July 20, but then lost it to Tozawa two weeks later on August 3.
Later in the show, during a Hurt Business vs Mustafa Ali, Ricochet & Apollo Crews six-man tag, Cedric Alexander came out and rolled up Shelton Benjamin to win the title for the second time. His first was on the June 24, 2019 episode of Raw where he lost it on the same show.
Later on tonight’s show, Alexander successfully defended the title against Akira Tozawa in a sanctioned match, but afterwards was pinned by Benjamin who won it back.
