Title Match, 8-Person Tag & More Set For NXT

A number of exciting matches and segments have been announced for NXT tonight, including a big championship match.

This week’s episode of NXT marks the first to take place on their new week-day, Tuesday. WWE have announced that NXT Champion Karrion Kross will open the show.

After defeating Finn Balor at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, Kross is set to usher in the new era of NXT. It is unclear what Kross plans to tell the fans, but the WWE.com description teases an interruption to Kross’ proceedings.

NXT shared the news on Twitter, tweeting:

Also on the show, MSK will defend their NXT Tag Team Championship against the team of Drake Maverick and Killian Dain. The challengers earned a title match during the NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver night 2 pre-show. MSK won the belts the night prior in a high-octane three-way tag bout.

NXT also tweeted about this anticipated title match:

An intriguing 8-person tag team match has also been made for the show. Johnny Gargano, Austin Theory, Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell of The Way battle Bronson Reed, Dexter Lumis, Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart.

Calling the match interesting, NXT tweeted:

With Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez set to appear, and Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar issuing an open challenge, the coming episode of NXT is looking golden.

A grudge match between Isaiah “Swerve” Scott and Leon Ruff, and the debut of Franky Monet (FKA Taya Valkyrie) are also being advertised for tonight’s show.
