Tonight’s Raw will see WWE return to television screens for the first time since Friday’s woeful Super Showdown event.
There will be some fallout from the Saudi Arabia show courtesy of Shane McMahon, who will be celebrating his victory over Roman Reigns alongside his bodyguard/hitman Drew McIntyre.
Sounds like can’t-miss TV . . .
The segment is likely also designed to promote the upcoming McIntyre-Reigns match at Stomping Grounds, WWE’s next PPV event which takes place in under two weeks!
New United States Champion Samoa Joe, who was awarded the title due to Rey Mysterio’s injury issues, will be a guest on Miz TV tonight, likely setting up his next challenger.
There may be new champions crowned elsewhere tonight on the show as want-away duo The Revival will receive a tag title shot against rarely-seen champs Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins, who defeated them for the straps on the WrestleMania pre-show.
WWE’s official preview is promising that Becky Lynch will get “nasty” tonight prior to her second PPV meeting with Lacey Evans over the Raw Women’s Title, more shenanigans with R-Truth and the 24/7 belt and Brock Lesnar’s “Brock Party” postponed.
In other words, Brock is not there.
Also not expected to be there are The Undertaker and Bill Goldberg following their unfortunate Super Showdown main event or 50-man battle royal winner Mansoor, further rendering Friday’s event a complete waste of time.
