WWE has announced an NXT Tag Team Championship match for tonight’s episode of NXT on the USA Network despite Pete Dunne being unavailable.
Instead, Dunne’s partner Matt Riddle will choose a temporary partner as they will defend the titles against Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish of Undisputed ERA.
It is believed one of the matches planned for TakeOver: Tampa before it was cancelled was the Broserweights defending against O’Reilly & Fish and the Grizzled Young Veterans in a three-way.
Of course Dunne and both Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson) are unable to travel so this is the adjustment that’s been made.
Also confirmed for NXT tonight are Finn Balor vs. Fabian Aichner, the start of the interim Cruiserweight Champion tournament, Charlotte Flair to appear, and a face-to-face between Adam Cole and Velveteen Dream.
WrestleTalk.com will have live coverage of NXT tonight at 8pm ET/1am BST.
