TKO Group Holdings has provided an update on WWE Raw TV rights negotiations.
On November 7, TKO announced that WWE had agreed to a five-year deal with The CW Network to bring NXT to the network starting October 2024.
With this news, WWE has now secured new TV rights deals for both SmackDown and NXT. Raw is still remaining to finalize their deal for a new rights agreement.
The deal is set to expire in September 2024, so many fans are wondering if it will continue on the USA Network or find a new broadcast home like the other two major weekly shows.
During the TKO third quarter earnings call, Endeavor CEO Ari Emmanuel confirmed that the company is having good conversations with multiple suitors right now. He said:
“As it relates to the Raw renewal, we’re having really productive conversations with multiple parties regarding Raw. We expect a robust process with Raw.”
“We’re very comfortable with Raw’s position. We’re going to be patient, measured, calculated with our approach. No specific timeline regarding an announcement,”
Emmanuel stated that SmackDown received a 40% increase with their new deal with USA Network, while NXT received a 70% increase.
