Last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite saw the return of Adam Page with a victory that saw him progress in the Owen Hart Tournament.
Elsewhere on the show, Will Ospreay left the Don Callis Family to go it along as AEW International Champion.
Mark Briscoe also became the first name in Team AEW for the Blood & Guts match that will take place on the July 24 episode of Dynamite.
Team AEW will face The Elite (Matthew & Nicholas Jackson, Kazuchika Okada and Jack Perry) and an as yet unnamed individual.
Britt Baker and Mercedes Mone came face-to-face in a heated exchange that can be seen below this news story.
PW Insider has reported that former WWE star and current TNA Wrestling X-Division Champion Mustafa Ali was backstage at last night’s AEW Dynamite.
According to the report, Ali’s backstage presence was a visit to the show, with no further details provided.
Ali was released by WWE in September 2023 and would make his TNA Wrestling debut in a pre-taped vignette on January 25, 2024.
At TNA Wrestling No Surrender on Febuary 23, 2024, Ali would capture his first TNA gold, beating Chris Sabin for the X-Division Championship.
Something else that wasn’t seen on last night’s show was the “thank you, Jeff” chants following Jeff Jarrett’s loss to ‘Hangman’ Adam Page.
