A TNA World Championship segment has now been announced for next weekend’s WWE Great American Bash premium live event.
WWE NXT star Trick Williams captured the TNA World Championship back at WWE Battleground, with him defeating Joe Hendry in the show’s main event to become the first active WWE star to hold a TNA title.
Trick is set for his next defence of the title at the upcoming Slammiversary pay-per-view event, defending the title against both former champion Joe Hendry and Mike Santana.
Ahead of Slammiversary, a contract signing between the three men has now been made official for next weekend’s Great American Bash premium live event.
Per WWE:
“A huge TNA World Championship contract signing will take place live at the Great American Bash.
“Trick Williams is scheduled to defend the TNA World Title at Slammiversary against Joe Hendry and Mike Santana in a Triple Threat Match.
“Since dethroning Hendry at Battleground and coining “Trick-NA,” Williams has irked the TNA stars, and Hendry and Santana are determined to do whatever it takes to get the title back.
“Don’t miss the Great American Bash on Saturday, July 12, at 3 ET/noon PT, streaming live on Peacock in the United States and on Netflix everywhere else.”
