TNA President Addresses AMC Television Deal TNA

TNA President Carlos Silva has commented on the company’s new media rights deal with AMC set to begin in January.

TNA will officially be moving to AMC starting on January 15, with the show Thursday Night Impact being the first episode of the show to air on AMC.

Speaking on the new deal on Busted Open Radio, TNA President Carlos Silva addressed the company’s new media deal, and how it will change things for the company going forward.

He said:

“It was a team effort, there was ups and downs. As you know any deal you do there’s ups and downs, there’s moments where you say oh my goodness, is it slipping through our fingers or not?

“But I think AMC was really excited about it too, they’re getting into the live sports entertainment business, they’ve always built great characters, we know that. Now I think together we’re gonna give them something every Thursday night, 52 weeks a year, that is so difficult in the entertainment and sports business to do.

“It’s gonna change everything. It’s gonna change how the fans get the product, see the product, I know it’s gonna bring that energy to the talent in the ring as well. I’ve seen it as we’ve filled up these buildings at Bound For Glory, and I know (Bully Ray) and the Hardys and everybody else felt that energy from the crowd, now we’re gonna feel that energy from the audience on AMC as well.”

When asked if the new deal would see the continuation of TNA’s partnership with WWE NXT, Silva added:

“Absolutely, it’s a big part of helping us get this deal. It’s a big part of, now being able to almost give back a little and provide a big platform for some of those superstars as well. So absolutely, the storylines, the things we’re doing together are gonna continue to grow into 2026. The last 5-6 months have been awesome, and I think there’s more to come. 2026 is just gonna build off that and be even bigger.”
