The President of TNA Wrestling has commented on re-signing talent, with two former WWE names recently confirmed.

With news that former TNA Digital Media Champion AJ Francis and two-time International Champion Steve Maclin would remain with the company, Carlos Silva has addressed both signings.

Addressing the decision to re-sign Francis, known to many WWE fans as Top Dolla of Hit Row, the TNA Wrestling President tweeted:

“Great to have athletes like this in TNA. Let’s go AJ!”

His praise would also be seen when it comes to Maclin, who heads to TNA Sacrifice to face Mike Santana for the World Championship, posting:

“He is a true fighter that defended our country, he just isn’t very good at picking briefcases. Glad he is back in TNA.”

The briefcase in question was of the Fire of Feast variety, with the former Impact World Champion selecting the one that saw him ‘fired’ from the company.

A former WWE star, Maclin was known to fans as Steve Cutler, debuting in July of 2014 on NXT and remaining with the company until his release in February, 2021.

Francis would have two runs with WWE, with his first release being part of the COVID-19 cuts of 2021, returning later that year and being released in September, 2023.

TNA Sacrifice takes place on March 27 at the Alano Center in Westwego, Louisiana, with Maclin vs. Santana being the only match announced at the time of writing.
