‘I Can Still Go’ – TNA Wrestling Name Addresses Potential In-Ring Return TNA

A TNA Wrestling name has addressed potentially returning to in-ring competition, over three years on from his last match in the company.

Firmly established as TNA Wrestling’s color commentator alongside lead announcer Tom Hannifan, Matthew Rehwoldt has become more known for his voice than his in-ring work in recent years.

While his last match for TNA was in May 2022, Rehwoldt has continued to compete sporadically on the independent scene since then – leading to questions regarding a potential TNA in-ring return for “The Drama King.”

Speaking to Ash Rose of Death Arts 13, Rehwoldt said a return to a TNA ring was “not in the picture” right now, but didn’t rule out the possibility entirely in the future:

“I mean, look, if there’s one thing this business has taught any of us, never say never. It’s the cheesiest of all the cheesy, corny, cliché things to say.

“I will say at this point I don’t have any plans to, but this is a wild business. I am healthy, I am spry, I can still go if I wanted to.

“But yeah, not in the picture right now, but it’s an old cliché for a reason because often it comes true. Never say never.”

Prior to joining TNA in 2021, Rehwoldt spent eight years in WWE as Aiden English, before being released from his contract in 2020.

During his time in WWE, Rehwoldt became NXT Tag Team Champions alongside Simon Gotch as The Vaudevillians. Rehwoldt would later form the popular Rusev Day tag team with Rusev later in the 2010s.
