Former TNA Champion’s Status Following AEW Debut Update AEW/TNA

An update has emerged on a former TNA Wrestling champion’s status following his AEW debut at this week’s Dynamite taping.

Ahead of the January 22 show, Crazzy Steve – billed as Crazy Steve – faced off against Serpentico in a dark match.

This fuelled speculation about Crazzy Steve’s status, with Steve still listed on the TNA Wrestling roster page at the time of writing.

Amid uncertainty about whether or not the former TNA Digital Media and World Tag Team champion is still with the company, Fightful Select has now provided clarification on his status.

Per Fightful Select, Crazzy Steve and TNA Wrestling had an ‘amicable split’ last year. It was noted that while there are currently no plans for Steve’s TNA return, those Fightful spoke to from TNA said Steve was always well liked.

Crazzy Steve last wrestled for TNA Wrestling in a dark match against Mike Bailey at the April 21, 2024 iMPACT taping.

His most recent televised TNA match saw him drop the Digital Media Championship to Laredo Kid on the Countdown To Rebellion show one night prior.

Another star both TNA and AEW fans will recognise has now re-signed with TNA Wrestling, which you can read more about right here.
