Former Champion Gone From TNA Wrestling

A notable former champion has finished up with TNA Wrestling, amid speculation about his in-ring future.

There have been rumors swirling about what’s next for former TNA X-Division Champion ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey, following Bailey recently filing to trademark his name.

More recently, speculation was fuelled after people noticed that Bailey is no longer listed on the TNA Wrestling current roster page.

Per Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Bailey’s TNA Wrestling deal expired on November 1.

The report noted that Bailey did not appear at the Fayetteville TNA TV tapings, and instead wrestled at independent events in Washington state.

Bailey notably filed a application on November 8 to trademark “SPEEDBALL MIKE BAILEY”, with the following description accompanying the filing:

Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; entertainment services in the nature of live performances by a professional wrestler, sports entertainment personality, and actor; entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler, sports entertainment personality, and actor;

entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler, sports entertainment personality, and actor; entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler, sports entertainment personality, and actor; entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestler, sports entertainment personality, and actor;

personal appearances by a professional wrestler, sports entertainment personality, and actor as a spokesperson for entertainment and education purposes; providing news and information in the field of wrestling and sports entertainment via a global computer network; providing news and information about a professional wrestler, sports entertainment personality, and actor via a global computer network;

providing a website in the field of wrestling and sports entertainment; providing ongoing webisodes and non-downloadable videos in the field of wrestling and sports entertainment, distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media

Bailey last wrestled on the November 7 TNA iMPACT episode (taped October 27), where he lost the X-Division Championship to Moose in singles action.
