TNA Wrestling Plans To Air Impact Live On AMC Update TNA

An update has emerged regarding TNA’s plans to air more live episodes of Thursday Night Impact after their move to AMC Network.

As confirmed via an announcement last week, AMC will officially become the new home of TNA Wrestling in 2026 and beyond, with Impact moving to the network on Thursday, January 15.

Since the deal was announced, one of the biggest questions asked by fans has been regarding TNA’s potential plans to stage more live episodes, rather than taped ones once they begin life on AMC.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, TNA producer Lance Storm addressed Impact’s future as a live broadcast on AMC:

“I didn’t get anything pinned down other than it won’t be every week. I suspect long-term it’ll greatly depend on if the taped shows do as well as the live shows.

“If they do, then there won’t be a panic to go live every week. But if the live shows do a lot better, then I would imagine that would be the direction they wanna go.

“You need to go live enough that the fans get the impression that it’s a live show. And then once they have that feeling that they’re live shows, you can actually have quite a few of them taped and nobody even notices.”
