TNA Wrestling Star Had ‘No Clue’ About Plans For WWE Crossover Moment WWE/TNA Wrestling

At TNA Slammiversary, new champions were crowned and a WWE star made a much-anticipated return to the company.

The July 20 TNA Wrestling pay-per-view saw The Hardys (Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy) become World Tag Team Champions, Jacy Jayne secure the Knockouts World Championship to become a double champion, and Leon Slater capture the X Division Championship.

With Leon Slater becoming the youngest X Division Champion in company history, WWE’s AJ Styles would appear and endorse the star.

Footage of the moment was shared on Twitter (as can also be seen below this news story), with Bodyslam’s Cory Hays highlighting Leon Slater’s reaction to the return of AJ Styles.

The second AJ Styles’ music hits, Slater can be seen taking a few steps back before jumping with enthusiasm while the crowd go wild for the returning star.

Hays would note that Slater was “jumping with joy” at the moment, with the new X Division Champion revealing that he had “no clue” that AJ Styles was set to join him in the ring.
