TNA Wrestling Star Opens Up About The Company’s Current Management TNA Wrestling

The TNA Wrestling name returned in January 2024 with the Hard To Kill PPV and a change of management just one month later.

In February 2024, it was reported that Tommy Dreamer had taken over as head of creative in TNA Wrestling.

PWInsider would reveal further details of TNA Wrestlng’s management structure in June 2024, revealing Executive Producer Ariel Shnerer leads day-to-day operations, Gail Kim had assumed the role of Talent Relations as well as giving input into creative with Tommy Dreamer, Jorge Barbosa and Delirious overseeing that aspect.

With The Hardys recently re-signing with TNA Wrestling, Matt has discussed the different in management between his previous and current runs with the company.

Having revealed the reasons for re-signing with TNA Wrestling in an interview with Sports Illustrated, Hardy went on to discuss his past run with the company, saying:

“It’s really hard to compare runs. Whenever we did, The Broken Universe and Broken Matt Hardy happened, that was the most fun I’ve ever had in my career.

“That was in a lot of ways, I kind of look at that with fond memories, and think that is the greatest year of my career. So that was an amazing run. But towards the end, once management changed, there were a lot of things that just, there’s no hatred, there’s no resentment towards anything, but just the right people weren’t put in the right places. It was a new business taking over wrestling that really didn’t know wrestling as much.”

Discussing the current management in TNA Wrestling, Hardy was positive about Anthem, stating:

“Now Anthem is doing a great job because they have people in the role of the bosses that know wrestling and they understand what they’re doing. It has been great. And really this this run has been the most fun I’ve had in a very, very long time. Probably the most fun I’ve had since my run as Broken Matt Hardy, and the year that I did The Broken Universe.”

Hardy’s previous TNA runs took place in 2011 before his second return in 2014 , leading to Broken Matt Hardy and his eventual return to WWE in 2017.

The period of 2014 to 2017 saw a number of changes with top stars leaving and Billy Corgan going to acquire a minority stake in the company before becoming president.

September 2016 would see Anthem Sports & Entertainment take a stake in TNA Wrestling.

Corgan would be removed as president in November 2016 with Anthem taking a majority stake in TNA in early 2017 and Jeff Jarrett returning to the company, going on to become executive producer and chief creative officer.
